Windows Collective Screenings

The Windows Collective formed just over a year ago with the intention of bringing contemporary cinema to the street.

The group is hosting outdoor film screenings of 6 new silent works on loop in Ottawa neighbourhoods throughout the summer.

Films will be projected in two ways: from the inside of buildings through windows, and on the outside of buildings against walls.

In both cases, the audience is intended to view the films from the street. All six film projections will occur simultaneously over a one hour period.

Screenings will take place on Thursday evenings after dusk. Admission is free.

In the case of rain, the screenings with indoor set-ups will still go ahead, so bring your umbrellas! In the case of outdoor set-ups, notifications will be sent out if we need to postpone.

The filmmakers contributing original work are Ainsley Walton, Dave Johnson, Bridget Farr, Pixie Cram, Roger Wilson and Paul Gordon.

The Windows Collective wishes to acknowledge the support of the City of Ottawa, Cinequip, and Artengine.
